We love Davines

Davines is the #1 sustainable beauty line in the world and you can get it at Denver, Colorado’s #1 rated sustainable salon!

Here’s some of the reasons we love partnering with Davines!

They Help Plant Fruit Trees Around the World
Every April, The Davines Group encourages their salons to fundraise for The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation, a nonprofit charity that helps provide food and income generation to communities and families in need around the world. This year, the proceeds will go to planting 5,000 trees in Peru. Davines and The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation will choose the salon that has the most creative and successful fundraising efforts, and the team members of the winning salon will go to the South American country to help plant the trees alongside the families who receive them.

They’ve Been a Certified B Corp Since 2016
Becoming a Certified B Corp is no easy task! The Davines Group went through a rigorous assessment by nonprofit B Lab®, which evaluated its performance in the areas of employees, environment, governance, community, and customers and ensured it was creating a positive impact on the world economically, socially, and environmentally. It encompasses everything you could imagine: from the types of cars their team drives, the paper the office uses, how employees volunteer, and more! For Davines, becoming a Certified B Corp fits perfectly into its vision of sustainable beauty.

They’re Using Your Hair Clippings To Clean Up the Globe
Davines has partnered with Green Circle Salons to work toward turning salons into a zero-impact industry, which means reducing and offsetting CO2 emissions. Almost everything in a salon can be taken into consideration and reused—even the hair that falls to the floor during a cut, which can be used to help soak up an environmental oil spill.

They Incorporate Slow Foods
Have you checked out your Davines ingredient list lately? In collaboration with Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity, each of Davines’ nine product families that are a part of the Essential Haircare line includes one active ingredient from a Slow Food Presidium. Take one of our favorites, Davines LOVE Smoothing Conditioner: It’s made with olive extract from the farm of Mr. Carmelo Messina in a small area of Italy called Ficarra.

Their Packaging Is So Much More Than Meets the Eye
The packaging for Davines’ Essential Haircare line is not only chic, but it’s also ready for its next incarnation. The packaging is made out of reusable, food-grade materials, but also can be reused easily by you! Check out these adorable and easy to make succulent pots.

There’s Even a Davines Coffee (Yes, Please!)
You can up your Davines morning routine via its Caffe Vita farm direct coffee collaboration. Just like Davines’ luxe ingredient notes, this one features hints of toasted almonds, caramel, smooth dark chocolate, and hints of bright strawberries. I’ll take a large, please!

Hooray for Davines!

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX: HAIRSTYLING IS ART!

BEING AN ARTIST IS ABOUT CRAFTING YOUR CREATIVE INSPIRATION INTO MATERIAL, AND THIS IS WHAT A HAIRSTYLIST SHOULD DO
FRESH FROM WINNING THE PRESTIGIOUS 2015 BEST AVANT GARDE AIPP AWARD FOR HIS FASCINATING CREATIVITY, DAVINES ARTISTIC DIRECTOR, ANGELO SEMINARA, TELLS US MORE ABOUT HIS ARTISTIC DEVOTION TO THE HAIRSTYLING PROFESSION.
Angelo, what does inspire you most?
“Inspiration can come from so many different places, but the essence of the natural world is surely what inspires me most. Mother Nature surrounds us and permeates every aspect of our life with boundless beauty that will never stop to fill with wonder the eyes of those who want to see it. I am indeed very curious and I think that inspiration is basically all about curiosity and passion for what you do: if you don’t have that hunger for knowledge, then you are just missing so many chances of discovering and inventing something new, both in hairstyling and in life.”
Think outside the box news 22/3BackNext

    Where does creativity meet hairstyling?
“I think that creativity is a recipe made of many different ingredients: inspiration sources, individual sensitivity and, last but not least, the love and dedication to your profession, hairstyling in my case.
One of my objectives in hairstyling is to step outside the box, to create something that seems impossible and unexpected, that pleases my eyes, mind and soul, but nevertheless my philosophy is always to make a woman look beautiful and modern. Originality often means eclecticism, a mix of elements coming from different forms of art, that’s why to work with hair I also search for inspiration from other fields that are not necessarily the hairdressing one, such as fashion industry, photography, architecture, design and contemporary art. I like to collect, combine and experiment, translating all the ideas and re-elaborating all influences in various ways: besides my salon work, my creative collection productions and magazine shooting works, I design hair for art curators for fashion exhibitions.
I love hairdressing and if you love something in life you automatically become loyal and truthful to it. Hairdressing is my passion, through good and bad times and I always stick with it. Every day I look forward to my job. I definitely believe creative hairdressing is an art form in itself, a vital visual force to complement other arts.”

If we ask you to tell us the name of a hairstylist who represented a turning point for your career…
“The first name that comes into my mind is for sure that of Trevor Sorbie, a real hairdressing icon, who has inspired the whole sector at a worldwide level, becoming a mentor for many of today’s top hairdressers, thanks to his ability of always combining perfectly the highest quality standards with the most excellent hairdressing. Working with him for 15 years was a very meaningful and enriching life experience, he became like a father to me and I feel very grateful for what he gave me from both a professional and a human point of view.”

What is new, in your opinion, in the latest hairstyling trends?
“While rushing through the professional day by day routine, a hairdresser, like all the other artisans, sometimes runs the risk of forgetting to focus on some basic aspects of his craft, missing some great chances of adding value to his work.
I think that this is the moment to rediscover the creative potential of blow-drying that, in my opinion, is precious like an accessory to be worn, the final expert touch that enhances the beauty of a style. I’m working with Davines on something new, an homage to this special craft, to give it back its artistic dignity. I perceive the blow-drying as an art, and I want to invite all the hairdressers to realize their own masterpiece with hair. You’ll discover soon what I am talking about, I hope that you’ll enjoy it and that you’ll have fun!”

      – “SUSTAINABILITY
Our ideal of beauty works through practical and “sustainable” efforts. For us, sustainability deals with the responsibility we owe to ourselves, the people with which we work, our customers, and the world in which we live and operate. Our vision of “sustainability” has a range of connected meanings:
      – “sustainability” in regard to our commitment to minimizing the impact on the environment, not compromising the quality or quantity of natural resources today or tomorrow;
      – “sustainability” in regard to the effectiveness of our products and the safety of our customers, thanks to the privileged use of natural ingredients, enhanced with cutting-edge cosmetic technologies and an artisanal spirit;
      – “sustainability” in regard to “freedom of creation”. Our decisions are led more by “intuition” than “calculation”. Our pioneering spirit guides us to explore ideas beyond trends. At Davines, every idea is born free and then developed with authenticity, in harmony with our values.
      – “sustainability” in regard to “ethics”, which in ancient Greek means “house, shelter, lair”. Honored of being a family company, we make our professional environment a homely place where to develop oneself and create sincere and trustful relationships with others, based on transparency and collaboration.
In summarizing, “beautiful and good” – as the ancients referred to the inseparable unity between exterior and interior beauty – is another way to say “Sustainable Beauty” and “Sustainable Beauty” is another way to say Davines.”

Our main color line is Organic Color Systems and they are truly amazing as well, here is a little bit about OCS

WE LOVE PHIA!!! made right here in Denver Colorado.
“A little something from Phia: At Phia, we believe that the complex molecular structures of nature’s purest ingredients contain beneficial attributes and energies that synthetics will never possess. In our laboratories, we strive to create powerful products by combining the best nature has to offer in perfect mathematical formulations while engineering the physics of nature to create unique bio-energetic bouquets.

For the past six years, Phia’s founder has researched the energy of essential oils. Based on this work, it was discovered that this energy is visible, vibrant and long-lasting. In contrast, synthetic ingredients commonly used in commercial products were found to be faint or lifeless. Natural energies impact the way we feel, the way we think and how we live.

At Phia, we harness energies created by sun, soil and water, found in fields, forests and oceans from the far corners of the world. Products are created with your well-being in mind, deliberately void of synthetic substances that deflate or destroy the vibrant energy of natural essences.”

“The Health Effects of Hair Coloring” with traditional chemical-based hair dyes

The Health Effects of Hair Coloring with chemical-based hair dyes

“The health effects of hair coloring are, to a certain extent, unknown. And the link between hair coloring and cancer is controversial and, to date, inconclusive. But many of the chemicals contained in frequently used hair dyes have been shown to be dangerous. Such chemicals can cause allergic reactions and perhaps even neurological problems.

There are alternatives to such hair dyes, such as plant-based henna and infrared techniques that open up hair shafts to allow coloring. Such “green” solutions are advisable for anyone who wants to avoid the risks associated with many hair coloring products.

Types of Chemically Based Hair Coloring
There are three main types of chemically based hair coloring products, as explained by Surviving-Hairloss.com. Temporary hair dyes are like surface paint: They don’t penetrate the hair shaft and are easily washed off. Semi-permanent dyes contain smaller molecules that do penetrate the hair shaft. Permanent dyes use the harshest products, which break up the original color pigment in your hair and replace it.

Potentially Dangerous Chemicals in Hair Coloring Products
Chemicals in hair coloring products include PPD, or para-phenylenediamine, which can cause allergic reactions such as burning and headaches and is also a potential carcinogen; coal tar, which is in 70 percent of hair coloring products and can cause allergic reactions; lead acetate, which has been banned in European countries as a possible carcinogen and, as with, other lead products, may cause potentially serious neurological problems; DMDM hydantoin, a preservative that has been linked to immune system problems; ammonia, which can be toxic and corrosive and may cause respiratory problems; and resorcinol, which can be an irritant and is a potential carcinogen.

        Hair Coloring and Cancer Risks
A potential link between hair-coloring and cancer has been debated for years. The American Cancer Society states, “The evidence from these studies remain quite inconclusive. Most of the available evidence does not support a link to cancer risk. Those studies that do show a link find that it is too weak to be considered a major public health concern.”

A study from the University of Southern California in 2001 found a doubling of the rate of bladder cancer for women who regularly used permanent dye on their hair, as well as for hair stylists who worked with such dyes. However, those results were not replicated in subsequent studies.

The American Cancer Society believes that larger studies are needed and notes that some ingredients in hair coloring products have caused cancer in lab animals.

Hair Coloring and Other Health Risks
Chemically based hair coloring products can cause allergic reactions leading to severe skin and eye irritations, according to the American Cancer Society. In rare cases, the eye irritations can lead to blindness. Such products should be tested on a small patch of skin before they are used on the hair and scalp.

        Considerations
Chemically based hair coloring products contain some nasty stuff. There are perfectly good substitutes, such as plant-based henna dye, that don’t contain such risks. You can avoid any potential health risks associated with hair coloring by choosing products that are not only safer but also environmentally friendly. Call it a win-win solution.”

My Hair Trip Salon Denver offers alternatives to traditional, chemical-based hair dye systems, and is Denver’s highest rated eco-friendly salon and spa.

Davines’ New MINU Line, Collaboration with Presidia Project

          Slow & Steady
Davines is making major changes this year. It has updated all nine of its Essential Haircare families—they’re produced using energy from renewable sources with Zero Impact packaging and a reduced use of plastic. MINU is a new addition to those families, and it preserves color with its shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and hair serum.

Additionally, Davines is collaborating with the non-profit Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity by joining the Presidia Project; the non-profit builds bridges between ecology, gastronomy, ethics and good food and supports 10,000 small producers that grow plants typical of specific places.

Each family of the Essential Haircare line contains a single active ingredient from a Slow Food Presidium and features the story, face and name of the farmer who grew it. The goal is to kick-start smaller economies and prevent extinction of local artisan traditions.

            Denver’s Organic Hair Salon

WooWeee! We are just having a ball down here at Denver’s Organic Hair Salon. The salon is full, all of our salon suites are occupied. We are loving our team. This crew is truly one of the most talented salon teams in the city, top to bottom. What’s cool about our salon, as opposed to all of the others in Denver is that we can do it all. Most salons have a specialty or a “flavor” or they take a certain type of client or hair type. At My Hair Trip Salon Denver we achieve balance through diversity. We all are different and each of our stylists and colorists are capable of doing any cut any color anytime and for anybody. We pride ourselves on being able to make any client happy with their hair, and we guarantee all of our services.

The art gallery is really rolling now, and we are so lucky to have so many great local artists in Denver, we never get board with new art on our walls. Fresh artwork on a rotation gives a constantly changing creative atmosphere throughout the salon and the galleries every month. We believe in creating a place where inspiration can flourish uninhibited to create the most beautiful hair possible all the time.

We have artists renting studios in the basement now, and it is so cool to see how that creative space is developing into something really special in addition to the salon, gallery, and boutique.

We are really excited about the clothing and jewelry designers we are carrying in the boutique right now and our clients and the citizens of the Denver Art District are really showing their love for the awesome local products we got going on right now.

We have starting carrying several new organic product lines in the salon as well as making some of our own products now such as organic chap stick, body butter, skin creams, and much more to come.

We also have a new color enhancement line that is super fun and makes it easy to go from cool fantasy colors back and forth to other colors without the huge process and time and energy and patience it used to have to take to do changes and corrections, and WITHOUT the DAMAGE! This new line is also totally free of any ammonia or PPDS! One of our clients with an allergy to the PPDS found in most hair colors, just gave us the word that 3 days after her color appointment she is reaction-free!!! Hooray!! Now we really can offer color services to all of the people who never could before, because of allergies or medications or any number of reasons. Everyone deserves beautiful hair and now everyone can get it at My Hair Trip Salon Denver, Colorado’s Organic Hair Salon.

All of our stylists have been training hard and working consistently to get better at creating the best, most beautiful looks with organic hair color and now we are really seeing it pay off. We are rocking organic color right now and we love how happy all of our clients are as they leave our salon and go out into the world looking good, feeling good, and being good, with gorgeous, healthy hair.

            In the works we have
            – our annual party / fashion show coming up in August,
            – All of our stylists are getting their masters certification in organic color next month from Organic Color Systems and we are all super thrilled about it!

We will always do all that we can to get better at our craft because we love it and we will never rest, because we will always get better for ourselves and for our clients.

My Hair Trip Salon Denver is becoming all of the things we have imagined it could be and we can’t stop smiling. Come on down, because in the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take.

Meet our newest stylist / makeup artist: Brittany Chavez

Brittany Chavez graduated from Empire Beauty in September of 2009. She has wanted to be a stylist since she was 16 years old. She has always loved how fun and artistic the beauty industry can be, and she can’t imagine doing anything else in life. Helping others feel amazing about themselves is Brittany’s favorite part of her job.
Brittany feels strongly convicted to always proceed in continuing her education as a stylist and in staying on top of current trends, so she can make sure she’s able to give her clients the look and feel they desire every time.

Brittany had the amazing opportunity of working on the Noveau team at Intercouiffure in NYC, which is one of the most prestigious major events a hair stylists can participate in. She was able to work backstage and onstage at the event. She has also been a helping hand at Denver Fashion Week assisting with hair as well as Second Home Spring fashion show applying makeup, another passion of hers. If its fun and challenging you can bet she will be there!

Brittany started her career at Antoine Du Chez. She began as an assistant going through their advanced training program, as a cutting specialist. After spending time there, she decided to take on a new challenge, learning the ins and outs of coloring hair. Brittany has always picked up on things quickly and is a fast learner.

Brittany, her two young boys and husband have all been making the organic , green transition over the past 6 months. This lifestyle became important to her after she had her children. When she found out about My Hair Trip, she was determined to become apart of the team! Brittany is excited for this experience, and happy to have finally found a salon home.

Hair After Cancer – Specializing in Hair Care for Cancer Survivors and Patients

As Salon Professionals, we try to compete for clients based on our creative skills and try to constantly strive for education that will differentiate us from the ever-present “salon down the street”. Unfortunately, we are all providing very similar services to very similar clients. But, what if we began to specialize in niche markets of clientele and used our valuable education to hyper-specialize in a certain niche to become worldwide experts in the very unique beauty challenges they face? Would we not be able to service these clients better? Would these clients not be more loyal than our current “generic clients”? Would we not be able to enhance our income by becoming experts and enjoy the rewards of more meaningful referral networks? Would we not be able to realize the true professional impact that most of us want to have on the world? This article provides licensed beauty professionals with that very opportunity.

Just about everyone knows one or more people that have been treated with cancer. Many cancer patients and survivors are disappointed with the way their hair recovers after cancer treatments. Even after several months, their hair seems dry, brittle, frizzy, and unmanageable. The overall condition of the hair seems to have been comprised by varying textures, different rates of growth, and overall thinning. Although some of the side effects of cancer treatments that impact the health of a person’s hair can last for a long time, there are measures that can be taken to accelerate the hair’s recovery and restore beautiful, youthful, and healthy looking hair with more certainty in a shorter period of time.

Successful hair services, either after or between cancer treatments, requires a delicate combination of understanding, specialized product ingredient-knowledge, and an innovative approach. First, the specific ailments that cancer treatments have on human hair health, as well as their individual causes, should be fully understood. Next, the proper approaches that will address each ailment, while enhancing over all hair health and vitality, should be explored. Finally, an introduction to the classes of products must be examined and evaluated for their overall health, potential medical side effects, and effectiveness. Finally, a professional seeking to address these challenging but rewarding clients should develop a holistic approach to planning and providing a long-term, comprehensive, beauty restoration strategy for these clients whose needs will most certainly be unique and demanding.

Side Effects of Cancer Treatment to Human Hair Health

Cancer treatments are harsh on hair follicles. Stronger hair follicles will recover first and begin to generate hair. Some other hair follicles will begin to generate hair months after the last cancer treatment has ended, while the weaker hair follicles may have gone dormant. Because hair on the top of the head tends to grow from weaker follicles, many patients may notice that they experience more thinning at the top of the head rather than the sides where hair follicles tend to be stronger.

Many cancer patients complain that their hair begins to lack color or tone after cancer treatments. Actually, this is not usually the case. What does often happen is that the blended, or overall, color or tone of the hair may begin to change because the follicles of different colored hair strands die or go dormant.

After cancer treatment, hair may be kinky primarily because of uneven damage to the follicle, which means the hair grows at an angle, which will cause it to curl.

Cancer treatments will often cause severe damage to the sebaceous glands found in the scalp. These glands produce a light oily liquid known as sebum which naturally progresses up the outer cuticle of the hair fiber. This sebaceous system is what provides hair its natural moisture. With damaged sebum, it is difficult to cultivate healthy looking beautiful hair after cancer treatments unless it is properly cared for.

Cancer treatments can leave the body with a debilitated capacity to regulate the distribution of different proteins. Hair is made of a delicate balance between protein and moisture. If hair is brittle and prone to breakage, or unmanageable because it seems almost too firm, then this is an indication that the hair is lacking moisture and has a high percentage of protein. If hair is weak and pulls apart, or is unmanageable because it seems almost too soft or gooey, then this is an indication that the hair is lacking protein and has a high percentage of moisture.

Big Beauty – Damaged, Porous, Weak Fibers Covered by Shiny Silicones and plastics.

Fortunately for the beauty industry, especially “Big Beauty” companies, human hair is amazingly resilient. The prescribed process that all salon professionals learn in beauty school is that to treat the hair, we must “open” (read as “blast open and corrode” the cuticle to penetrate into the hair fibers. To do this, we are taught to use incredibly toxic, corrosive, harsh, carcinogenic, and damaging chemicals like ammonia and formaldehyde. We are all taught that this severely damages the hair fiber, but that is ok, because we can use products to “close” (read as “slick over and cover up the damage”) the hair cuticle with special products later. For “Big Beauty” companies, this approach ensures that once a client’s hair is initially damaged, an ever-repeating cycle is facilitated that necessitates the purchase of their silicone and plastic products.

Even worse, these chemicals damage follicles and glands necessary to naturally sustain full, healthy hair throughout a person’s lifetime. Chemicals commonly used in traditional hair care, especially ammonia and plastics, either clog up or corrode hair follicles causing them to go dormant and destroy the natural melanin and tyrosine in hair which gives hair its natural ability to “hold” color. What we are left with is clients inflicted, by us as their unwitting beauty professionals, with thinning hair that has color that quickly fades. Conveniently, these clients are dependent on “Big Beauty” products for the rest of their lives, spending large amounts of money, in hopes of regaining their hair’s youthful luster that has been systematically stolen from them by the very companies that they continue to support.

Unfortunately, for clients that have undergone cancer treatments at some point during their lives, they cannot afford to play the “Big Beauty” game because of the delicate nature of their hair.

                Caring for Hair after Cancer

Caring for clients that have been treated for cancer requires a basic sensitivity to the ingredients contained in the products that you use and recommend for them. It is important to carefully consider their medical situation of having many of their body’s natural defenses impaired by the cancer treatments that they received.

While most people, and definitely most cancer patients, are conscious and sensitive to the foods that they eat; they are less sensitive to the ingredients contained in the products they apply to their hair or skin. This is a horrifying mistake. Research has continually found that any chemicals applied to the hair or skin are immediately absorbed into the blood stream and can be found in urine tests within 30 minutes of application. This demonstrates a simple fact of the human digestive system that is often ignored by cosmologists and estheticians. Ingredients that are eaten are filtered through the bodies most fierce and relentless barrier found in the human body, which is the acids found in the stomach and the enzymes in the large and small intestines. Unfortunately, the ingredients that are applied to your hair or skin lack this natural super-filtration system and instead are absorbed directly into the bloodstream through the pores and follicles.

While most cosmetologists and estheticians understand that there are roughly 6,000 times more follicles and pores on the human scalp than any other part of the skin, it seems that pharmaceutical companies have only recently begun to understand this. This is best demonstrated by the recent surge in topical medication prescribed to be applied to the nape of the neck or the scalp itself. While more and more drugs are being applied to the scalp because of its direct access to the bloodstream, few practitioners, including beauty professionals, have been considering what the implications may be to toxic chemicals in hair products being applied directly to the scalp. While almost all knowledgeable professionals would never eat or drink their hair color or straightening products, they somehow do not question or hesitate applying it to their scalp! This is a consideration that must be taken into account when caring for clients who have been treated for cancer.

                First, Do No Harm

Cancer treatments have a tendency to not only weaken a person’s hair, but also their immune system and vital organs. Because of this, a salon professional specializing in treating clients who have been treated for cancer must be more cautious of the ingredients contained in products. The delicate balance of performance and healthy ingredients must be carefully weighted toward harmless and healthy ingredients. Here are some of the recommendations from trained professionals well versed on this balance and how they can be applied to specific deficiencies cause by cancer treatments.

The liver is among the many organs that can be affected by cancer treatments. One primary function of the liver is to detoxify proteins of poisonous ammonia. This critical function can be burdened even more when introducing additional sources of ammonia into the blood stream through products like permanent hair color. To avoid elevated levels of ammonia in the body, and an overburdened liver that is already debilitated from cancer treatments, use Organic Color Systems which is the most natural and organic hair color product that does not sacrifice professional performance or exceptional results. Unfortunately, this hair color product is only available through licensed salon professionals and not sold to the general public.

Avoiding ammonia will also help restore thinning hair. Remember that hair follicles in men can die off but hair follicles in women most often are just dormant. Follicles can become dormant as a result of damage or clogging. The two most common sources of damage to hair follicles are ammonia and cancer treatment therapies. Another reason why hair follicles can go dormant is because they are clogged and unable to grow hair. This is most commonly due to plastics found in hair styling products. To clarify the scalp of plastics and other clogging impurities, use a product like Soothe Plus shampoo, conditioner, and treatments. Soothe Plus is a product is made with only 100% certified organic ingredients and is highly effective at gently removing plastics and other impurities from the scalp while enhancing blood circulation in the scalp without risk at damaging the hair follicles.

While any damage to the hair cuticle is bad, uneven damage caused by cancer treatments will affect the porosity and coarseness of hair, which will result in an unusual texture. To treat this unusual texture, consider a natural and organic protein treatment designed to even out porous hair with nourishing natural proteins. One such ideal product is Revamp, which fills and fortifies the cuticle with organic, plant derived proteins, which naturally bond with the hair and cultivate inner hair repair.

The delicate balance between protein and moisture in hair is critical to having healthy and lustrous hair. Ideally, healthy hair contains 87% moisture and 3% protein. To illustrate how delicate this balance is, consider that the only difference in substance between human hair and human fingernails is that human fingernails contain 3% more protein and almost no moisture. Because protein synthesis is jeopardized from cancer treatments, special care and consideration should be taken when dealing with clients who have been treated for cancer. When hair is deficient in protein, it is weak an can pull apart easily. This type of hair should be treated with Power Build Shampoo, Reconstructor, and Conditioner as well as Revamp treatment. When hair is deficient in moisture, it is brittle and should be treated with Aqua Boost Shampoo, Conditioner, and Reconstructor. When hair is weak and brittle, it is deficient in both protein and moisture and should be treated with Revamp and Aqua Boost Reconstructor as well as Status Quo Shampoo and Conditioner.

A vital tool in providing beauty services to any client who has undergone cancer treatment is the Wet Stretch Test. This test will quickly, reliably, and accurately analyze exactly what the hair needs and precisely how to treat it.

                  Young Living Essential Oils

We carry and use Young Living essential oils for a million different things in our salon. We use the essential oils to infuse our waters, infuse our hot towels, in our cleaning products, for aroma therapy, raindrop therapy, and in our hair oil treatments and moisturizing treatments. Young living is the number one distributor of essential oils in the world and we are proud to partner with them for the benefit of our clients and our salon.

Here’s some words from Young Living:

“Through the painstaking steps of our proprietary Seed to Seal production process, we produce the best, most authentic essential oils in the world. We are committed to providing pure, powerful products for every family and lifestyle, all infused with the life-changing benefits of our essential oils.

Our community of wellness started small in 1993, when Gary Young developed his first organic herb farming and distillation operation. At the time, Gary had already discovered the incredible power of essential oils, but because the quality of available oils varied so greatly, he’d been unable to fully harness their potential. While he knew that pure essential oils had the ability to produce spectacular results, he found that the chemically altered or adulterated oils on the market were often ineffective and even harmful.

Young Living changed all that. As Gary developed more farmland in Utah and Idaho, he began cultivating lavender, peppermint, melissa, clary sage, and many other herbs. Fueled by a growing demand for pure essential oils, Young Living designed and built the largest, most technologically advanced distillery for the production of essential oils in North America. Our company has also developed the groundbreaking Seed to Seal® process, which preserves the integrity and potency of essential oils.

Today, Young Living has grown to become the world leader in essential oils and wellness solutions. Headquartered in Lehi, Utah, with offices in Australia, Europe, Canada, Japan and Singapore, as well as farms around the world, Young Living stays true to Gary Young’s original vision. And with our steadfast commitment to essential oil purity, we’ve inspired millions of people everywhere to experience nature’s gifts of wellness and harmony, to create abundance as Young Living distributors, and to discover new opportunities for lifelong transformation.”
